How to get there

Gullane is a 30 minute drive from Edinburgh.
Head eastwards from the city on the A1. Turn off at the junction for the A198 at Tranent. Follow the A198 through Longniddry and Aberlady towards Gullane.
Or take a leisurely drive along the coastal trail starting in Musselburgh.
You'll find Ormiston House on the Main Street. Go 200 yards into the village and you'll see us on the right hand side, just before the Bank of Scotland, next to the bus stop.

Sleeping soundly

At the top of the original wooden staircase, there's an intimate loft-style bedroom with king size bed.
Three windows - including an unusual arrow slit - make the room light and airy. It's a calm, relaxing retreat.
The ensuite, with sleek fittings, soft towels, lovely toiletries and candlelight, is a great place to pamper yourself.

Courtyard garden

A mound of earth and grass was cleared to create our new courtyard garden, south-facing and secluded.
The outdoor furniture is positioned for enjoying breakfast, lunch and tea in this sunny, peaceful setting.

Cooking in Style

The simple kitchen is fully equipped with chrome appliances and gorgeous real wood finishes. You'll find a fridge, microwave, toaster, gas hob and electric oven.
With bistro china, groovy gadgets and a few tasty extras, cooking on holiday can be a bit more special.
There's plenty of storage too - a must after a visit to the local delicatessen and winery.
